Butterbean sayings

We were talking about how I was going to take the kids to my friends house to visit today. Butterbean, who is recently obsessed with her size since she turned 5, said, "I bet she will see me and say 'Holy Crap she is big!'" I told her that I doubt she would say 'Holy Crap' as crap wasn't really a nice word. She said, "It is an OK word cuz there is like all of Daddy's crap. Plus it has Holy in front of it.

I did her hair in a star today. It was so fun and turned out cute. I got the idea from http://www.girlydohairstyles.com/.

Family Camping

We went camping this weekend and had the best time!!! Even if my son begged to go home from the very beginning. He even asked me, "Which way to Gamma's house." I think he was planning on walking there. When it was time to go home we told him and he said, "Yeah!" It was so funny.

We started off watching my cute niece play softball. She was so good at it.The kids watching.Hauling wood.Roasted marshmallows and socks! It was raining the first day so we got a little wet and muddy. Except for one sister who I thought was nuts wearing flip flops. Then when she could go in the creek to wash off her feet and shoes I began to see the wisdom in those flip flops.Only here can you camp and sled! It was so fun.We all got in a little shooting.Even Grandma got in the action.Rode trail bikes and ATVs. My sweet nephew and niece gave the younger kids rides.Getting very relaxed while roasting marshmallowsHe wore that helmet everywhere, literally! It was such a great time and I can't wait till we do it again. Thanks to the L family for providing so much food, entertainment, and fun! It was the best!

Train to Gateway

We rode the train to Gateway today for the Chalk Art Festival. Too bad for us they hadn't even started yet. I was bummed. Butterball saw some horses that he said "hi" to. EVERY SINGLE ONE! One of them, "wants to get on train wiff us. See him smiling at me with his teethes. See him saying he want to come on train. But him can't go to baffwoom on here cuz him have no bum." What?

On the walk to Gateway you walk past a homeless shelter which always creeps me out. One time I actually saw a guy squatting behind a garbage can doing drugs. So I told the kids to stay right next to me while we walked through the scarey area. Right as we are walking past tons of homeless my daughter asks if these are the scarey people. Nice!We did get to play in the water fountain there. They had a good time. Butterball said "the girls were showing their naked bums" because some had swimsuits on.As we were getting ready to leave they were starting the Chalk Art Ffestival so my kids got to draw their own chalk art.Afterwards Butterball got a balloon much to Butterbeans dismay. She was so upset about the balloon. She HATES balloons with helium. It is almost like a fear. She refused to walk near him and kept going on and on about how upset she was that he had a balloon. She kept telling him it was going to fly up into the sky and he would be so upset. He kept touching the balloon on her making her scream. She told me she never wants to go there to that "Art Spestibull" because of the balloons. Told her they were only here for the Festival. She said we could come back but not when the Spestibull is there. She was OK with that balloon as soon as the helium was gone. Very weird.
On the walk back to the train Butterball pointed to a homeless couple and said, "Them not berry nice strangers." What am I teaching my children?! All in all a pretty good day.

My poor boy

Butterball sprayed himself in the eye with Roach Killer at Wal-mart today! It was horrible. I quickly poured water in his eye. And I happened to be on the phone with my husband when it happened so he had me go to the manager. We had to fill out a report. Then the rest of the shopping trip he kept covering his eye so I called poison control too just to be safe. They had me put him in a shower for 15 minutes and then rest for an hour. He was not supposed to do anything physical so he gets to watch a movie. I bet he is loving this part! Now why is a poison on the bottom shelf with no safety cap or anything? When my husband called they laughed and said they were not responsible for what our kids do.

Butterball wanted me to do his hair in a mohawk.I switched it to this but he did not want his picture taken. I had put gel in so he made me wash it out and do his hair normal. My boys chilling.Today he told me worms have "teethes". He had found one and said, "See, him smiling at me with his teethes." That creeps me out to think of a little worm smiling with his "teethes".

Mud mud mud!

When my daughter saw her brother in the mud she grossed out. I told her you are only young once. Shortly after that she joined him and they had a great time. Butterball said it felt like poop. Ewwwwww, now how would he know that? It kind of smells like it. Our dirt smells like it came from the Great Salt Lake.Butterbean's OGT (One Good Thing) for the day was having me lay down in bed with her to talk tonight. Ahhhhhh! And then she told me that in heaven she watched me and loved me. Then she said she has loved me her whole life. Imagine that, her whole life! What a sweetheart!

Stuff

This is how Butterball talks to Appleseed. Always on top of him and giving him big squishy hugs.I try to get a picture of my kids with each of their grandparents around their birthday. Sometimes they are a little silly but I love them. So here is one set of grandparent photos.Butterball was outside trying to find me. I noticed he was ready for church wearing his flip flops and carrying his "cutter" so I had to take a picture. He is crying because he started running towards me yelling "No". He hates his picture taken most of the time.
This is a dress my sister made for my daughter for her last birthday. Today was the first time we got to wear it because it has akways been too big. And it is still a little big. And no my sister won't make you one. She said it was too hard and you could not pay her enough. Yeah, we have an original!

The other day we were heading somewhere that had underground parking. Butterbean told me to stay close to her as she is afraid of them Butterball told her, "Heavenly Father knows we are here. So don't worry. I am here to protect you. See I have power in my fingers to protect you. See Heavenly Father gave me his power in my fingers." It was so cute and he said it with such strong feeling.

Zoo Trip

I am glad I bought the Zoo membership this year. Last year we did not use it much but I think we will use it more this year. I hope. We decided to go today and it took us forever to get out of the house. Then of course I wanted a salad and was not smart enough to make one from home. I think I really just wanted the dressing from Harmon's. So I went and got a salad and some fruit. Then we went to the library where Butterbean got her first library card. She was so excited. She checked out a ton of books today. Then we went to my husband's office so he could put a valve stem in one of the tires on the stroller. He put it in and blew it up and next we know it had blown up! So I then had to go buy some new tubes for the tires and went back to his office to have him put them in. Nuts! By then it was so late in the day I just gave my kids their sandwiches and I took my salad home and picked myself something I could eat in the car too. So finally we are on our way at 2:30. We had a good time and I didn't lose anyone. Sort of. I did momentarily misplace them at the dumb park. I hate that place! It is too hard to keep track of them both with all those kids around. And Butterbean asked from the very beginning to go there. Told her we had to see some animals first. Butterball hated that I had a one seat stroller so he had to walk a lot. But then he just sat on the end of the stroller to ride. Lazy cutie!

Our pre zoo security photo in case anyone gets lost then I have a picture of what they look like. Actually had to use it last time. Yikes. On the carousel.Appleseed kept trying to lick the pole. This is how Butterball looked to go to the store the other day. Notice the gun sticking out of his boot. The kids trying out their sister's dress-up wig. So funny.
