Crafting

I was sick one Sunday so we had a quiet day at home that day. My kids were so good, which is surprising as 2 of them tend to throw a fit if they can't go to church.

Butterball worked 4 HOURS on this project. I was shocked. It is a pirate ship. I tried so hard to suggest he have the box top open and tape the sides up and have it be an open boat but he refused to listen.This is the steering wheel. I also tried to add suggestions. I love how creative he gets. The problem came when he asked me to put the steering wheel in the ship. I of course had to bend it a bit to put it in and he threw a raging fit! I totally understood, poor guy, after working on it for 4 hours and then Mom does something crazy like bend the steering wheel? He hasn't worked on it since but he talks about it a lot.And this is what my daughter created. It is a pom pom town. On the left side you will notice the 3 pom poms. The red is the Fire Warning light. The blue is the Tsunami and Flood Warning light. And the white is the Earthquake Warning light. I thought it was adorable but a little sad that kids think of that.
