Random Craziness....
Here is what my poor Butterball looked like on day 2. Now it is all white back there. I barely get to see it. They told me to look every day...HA....they don't know my son. The last time he said, "OK but I won't lift my head, or open wider, or say Ah." Then how in the world am I supposed to see? Silly. He has had a hard time. I actually posted this on facebook but had made a mistake in the wording. I know he had the words killed and killing in there but in odd places and couldn't remember when I had posted it on fb. Remember later. He said, "I must be getting killing. Cuz when you hurt this bad you killed. So I must be getting killing." Poor thing. Today he yelled at me, "Stop saying you don't understand me." But it is so true. I can hardly understand him sometimes and I feel so bad. I hope it gets better as it heals. His voice is different and am wondering if it will stay that way as it is day 8 now. It is cute. It has been very very very hard. He screams and cries a TON. He told me today that he hates his mouth cuz it hurts him all the time. He hates taking his Lortab as he says it burns his mouth when he takes it. So that has been hard too. I feel so bad for him and boy I sure can't wait till he gets better.
Poor Appleseed was following the other two sillies who were playing and got stuck. And of course his mean Mommy grabs the camera first before saving him.
So this is how you play the Wii when you are tired....lazy....tired...who knows.
And this is how you play when you had surgery and are miserable.
Appleseed loves to play peek-a-boo now. I love it too as he usually covers his ears or something. He is so cute. Today in the bath he was playing with a bottle of shampoo and lost it when I had laid him down to wash his hair. When he sat up he seriously looked in front of him where it had last been and then stood up a little to look under his bum. It cracked me up that he thought he was sitting on it or something. Then I gave it to him and he gives me this huge smile. Then he went to go play peek-a-boo and quickly decided not too when the bottle started to float away again. It was hilarious.
This was Butterbean's New Year's Resolutions. Soo cute. Translated it says: Learn to pop a wheelie. Blow balloons and learn to do a hand stand and blow.
Butterbean came home from school and I had been watching some kids. I had let one of them go in her room and get a toy. Oops. Won't make that mistake again. She quickly made this sign but it was funny that at the bottom she added the girl's name that I had let in there. She mostly didn't want her brother in but told me to not let kids in her room when she is no there again. Which of course I won't. This translated says: Do not come in less you are my friend like.....
And then Butterball made a sign for his room too. His translated says, No girls allowed. They are so cute.

Butterball's surgery
He was excited at first because we were going to watch TV. ha ha. That didn't last long. Soon we were waiting in a small room with NO TV! Why would they do that to them? They should have something there for them to be distracted by.
My boy HATES to wear anything but his clothes to do stuff so he was furious to have to get the hospital gown on and kept trying to get out of it.
We gave in and let him have his pants back on. He just kept saying how it was boring and he wanted to go home and "why do I have to come here every day?"
Here is my big boy walking off to surgery. It broke my heart to see him go. He refused to have the nurse carry him or hold his hand. The doctor said his tonsils were huge not just where you could see them but underneath too. So he said he should feel much better now. I am so glad.
Here he is on my lap with his bear from the hospital and his matching iv wrap.
We both dozed off and on during recovery.
He was so excited to see his baby brother. He immediately had him come up and lay down next to him. He talked to him about each of his surgery pictures and what happened. He told him, "You hava be careful wif me cuz I hurt real bad right now. K?" It was really cute. His sister had wrote him a note telling him she hoped he felt better. The minute he saw her he thanked her for the note. He is so sweet. He wanted her to come lay down with him too. So she sat next to him and help Appleseed. They have been so good to each other. I love it.
He had me get him a bandaid as he said his mouth hurt. I didn't realize why the sides of his mouth were so sore till my husband reminded me how he had his mouth open during the surgery. They are quite red and sore. Poor thing.

Appleseed surgery
Thankfully this is how he spent a good part of the morning waiting. It took an hour and a half before he went into surgery so I was glad he slept as I was worried because I had to stop feeding him at 3:30 AM.
He was a little bit fussy when we finally got to have a check-up to see if he was ok to go through with surgery. Here he is with Daddy smiling. He adores his silly Dad.
In his bed, checking things out before surgery. He had to wear a girl's hospital pj's because they had no more boys. He looked so cute.
Here are his poor feet. Those made me sad. He got to have cute little hospital socks like grown-ups do. It was funny. The nurse wasn't sure she could get an IV in his foot because he is so chunky but she was able to after all. He hated the blood pressure cuff though. Poor thing.
Here he is after the surgery sleeping fitfully. If you moved him he just screamed. He wouldn't nurse for hunger but for comfort only. He slept off and on mostly. It was terrible for me to have to wait during that surgery. After it all his wonderful Dad let me go back with him in recovery as only one of us was allowed. Then when we got home he let me sleep for awhile which was awesome! Thank you hubby!!! And thanks to my awesome Mom for taking care of my two sickos at home while we were gone!!!
