Alms for the poor?

I was driving to a friends house to give her some money ($4). Butterbean asked me why I was giving her the money. I told her that she had bought something for me and I was now paying her back for it. Here is what came next.
Butterbean: "Did she ask you for the money?"
Me: "No, but that is what you do is if someone gets something for you that you asked them to get you pay them back the money."
Butterbean: "We can't afford to give her that money."
Butterball: "Yeah, look at them. They are wich. They have a house and a van."
Me: "We have a house and a van."
Butterball: "But we need the money cuz we are poor and they are wich."

This same "wich" friend of mine has a basement and he was telling her how he could not go in her basement to play. She turned on the light as that was one of the complaints of how dark it was. Then he proceeded to tell her how we don't live in that kind of house as we are not wich. Because one day we went to Lagoon and got food there and now we can't afford things. We went 2 years ago and apparently I should have NOT got the ice cream cones at that place as now 2 years later, we still can't afford things. At least in his eyes. Wonder if they hear from Mom a lot that we can't afford things. :)

One more note before I forget even though this is an -ism. For Family Home Evening I had asked Appleseed to repeat the thought after me. The lesson was about measuring our spiritual growth. Part of the thought was choosing the right. When I said that part this is what Appleseed said, "Choose the wight...the wight...train coming down the track!" Yes he is OBSESSED with trains.

Appleseed-ism

This post makes me happy in a big way. Anyone that remembers how Butterball used to talk will understand.

Today Appleseed saw a statue and yelled, "Jesus!" Then he said, "I goes to a Jesus house. And I play with cars.......my turn.....my turn.....my turn. So fun." He actually went on for about 5 minutes about playing with Jesus and cars. It was adorable. Then Butterball said, "Does he think I am Jesus?" I explained to him how he didn't but that when you are young you can sometimes still remember what it was like to live with Jesus in Heaven. Butterball said, "Oh that is sad because I can't remember it at all." Poor guy, as when he was Appleseed's age he was ALWAYS talking about Jesus.

Butterball - isms

These are my favorite posts. I have tried to take notes and record things that he says so that I can remember them because I forget things extremely easy now.

Here he is with his face armor that he made out of toilet paper rolls. He was so excited.Well, I was excited. Until I went to find my notes on my computer. I spent over an hour searching over and over. They are GONE!!! What? I was so upset but later I remembered that I also had some recordings on my phone. So when I went to go look I was stunned to find....NOTHING. How can it be that every note I have made over the last several months about what cute things this boy of mine has said is GONE. Every...last...one. I am not going to trust this lovely thing called technology again. Down on paper they will go.

Those are his wings he was wearing with the hangers. He cracks me up.So the only thing I can remember that he said the other day was that when his head gets as big as mine then he will be able to drive my car. Then he asked if it cost a lot of money and I told him about car payments, insurance, gas, oil. He then decided he was going to drive Dad's truck and then he would take it whenever he wanted to just go places and that when his Dad would get ready to go to work that he would say, "Oh no! Where is my truck? I can't go to work now?" He thought that would be cool.

Yion eye Stabbers

Butterball is a packer. Not a pack rat....a packer. He is CONSTANTLY packing for some unknown trip. It can drive me nuts.Sometimes he will come to me asking me to help him find some toy and it can take quite a bit of hunting to find it. Seriously if there is anything missing in the house, you can almost bet that it is in his room.Once I could not find a pair of nail clippers for nothing. I asked and asked and asked. No one had a clue. Shocker, they were packed away. And remember the missing camera? Yep, in his room. Many times it is my utensils...ugh. That is frustrating. So in the hunt for Baby Jesus I decided to tackle the packing and try and unpack it. SIGH.....I guess I can see the need for...let's see, one of my essential oils, some game pieces, a medicine cup, and dropper. When I started packing he came in and stayed quite close and anything odd he would explain right away. Like this brad? It is needed to "stab yions in da eye if they are tying to attack us." So there you go. On your next trip, please remeber to pack the yion eye stabber.

Forgotten -ism of Butterball

One day Butterball was talking about Jesus. He doesn't do it as often as he used to, so I was really listening. He was telling me how Jesus and him played a game and "Jesus had a fridge and freezer and hands!" I said, "Really?" He said, "No I just teasing. Him don't have a fridge and freezer but him do have HANDS!" So cute. Imagine that, Jesus has hands. My sweet precious boy.

Butterball -isms

Is my boy growing up on me? He doesn't say as many "isms" like he used to. Very sad. The other night he was looking at his sheet, which has several patch marks on it from holes that he has cut. He said, "Hebenme Fader watched me cut these hoes didn't he." I told him that He probably did. I asked him if Heavenly Father had said anything to him and he said, "I couldn't hear him." (That alone made me a little sad). I said, "What do you think he was saying?" He said, "That He wove me." I told him he was right that Heavenly Father does love him. Still my sweet angel.

One day he started saying "Bloody fingers". I asked him where he had heard that, knowing it was a kids scary story. He said his cousin had told it to him. I have wanted to film him telling the story as he is so cute when he does it. And he finally let me.

We had a pizza and suddenly the pizza cutter was missing. I knew it had to be Butterball as he had asked to use it earlier to cut a carrot and I had told him no. So I asked him where it was and he kept telling me he didn't know. A week later it magically appeared in the drawer. Here is what came next.

Me: "Hmmm...so who took the pizza cutter?"
Him: "Ummmm, hmmmmm, hmmmmm."
Me: "Who took it?"
Him: "I thinking."
Me: "Butterball, who took the pizza cutter?"
Him: "I counting. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11."
Me: "Who took it?"
Him: Maybe my fend, or...."
This went on forever till I finally told him he had to erase one of the marks on his behaviour chart. Then he said, "All right! It was me." Geeeee, you think? You want to know why? Because he was mad at me because I wouldn't let him use it to cut the carrot with. Ugh! To top it off, earlier this week he had cut his shirt and then his pants (his favorite pants) all because he was mad at me. I already had the scissors put up high because of his hair cutting sister. He had used the kitchen prep scissors to do this. That kid!

He came to me with this picture and said, "I wore those clothes for two weeks. And then you came and took your clothes off and danced around and then put your shirt on and then I came home with you from Heaven." I used to tease my sister that there was naked dancing in the Temple. I was wrong, apparently it is in Heaven.

My daughter told me earlier that if anyone was older than me they had to be atleast 100. Now she is watching a movie and said, "What?! That guy is really old and he is younger than you! He is like 45 and you are like 54 or 55 or something." Sob!

More and more isms

Butterbean was looking at an anatomy book at the doctor's office. She happened to be looking at page with the female anatomy. She pointed to it and said, "See Butterball? That is what our ear looks like." I tried not to snicker when I corrected her and told her what it really was. She looked at it with a disgusted face and said, "Ewww gross." The whole time I kept hoping she wouldn't glance at the next page which was the male anatomy. Whew! We were saved. She closed the book.

Butterball came up to me and said, "What dat noise?" I said, "What noise?" He said, "Dat noise dat go like hrdat hrdat hrdat." I smiled and told him that maybe it was a ghost. He said, "Yeah. Maybe it dat lion making dat noise." I said, "Yeah. Maybe the 'Lying Lion' that snuck into the cake and brownies earlier this week." He said, "Yep. Dat him." Later he saw something on the "nail room" door and had Butterbean investigate it. Butterbean smells literally EVERYTHING. So she sniffed it and confirmed it was poop. Guess who's poop it was? 'Dat lion'! So now we have a ghost lion that sneaks into our food, hides in our baskets, and poops on our doors?!?

The toilet was clogged today and while the kids were discussing it it had slowly drained and made that gurgle noise. They both looked at the toilet startled and Butterball explained that it was magic. I told him that it wasn't magic but that the toilet had just drained. He said, "No Heavenme Fader gave us magic in this house." Then I got the plunger out and fixed the toilet. And he said, "See. Heavenme Fader gave us that punger (with a hard G sound) and it magic and fix the toilet." Thank you Heavenly Father for our magic punger.

Butterball: "Why Butterbean not like me? Why she mean to me all the time? Why she do this stuff? She nice to me for 2 days and then she mean and won't let me in her room, or the bathroom, or nothing. Why she won't let me have fun with them?" Poor thing. It breaks my heart.

Butterbean had an earache and was crying. Butterball laid next to her and said, "I don't cry when I hurt. I only cry when you fight me. But I am a fighter boy you know that?" Then he sang songs to her and caressed her face and arm. It was so precious.

Butterball's dinner prayer, "Heavenme Fader, Bess the food and thank you. Bess that I will cean my room first so I get the trophy and Butterbean don't. And if she get her room cean first, bess me to knock her in the head." Oh brother.

Butterballisms again!

I could not get him to stay in his bed for nothing! Turns out this is where he fell asleep. Poor guy.Batman sleeping in our bed. I sure do love this boy.Butterball was tooting away while getting dressed. He said, "I toot all the time Appleseed. It is good." Then Butterbean said, "Who keeps tooting." Butterball - "Me. I toot two times." Butterbean said in an excited voice, "Good job! Good job counting your toots!"

My son was just on the toilet. He said, "Who stinks in here?" I said, "You do." He said, "It looks like a worm. Come see it." So I look like a good Mommy does and said, "Did you eat a worm?" He said, "I might have." He is so funny.

Butterball got a shirt to wear and said that it matched the shirt he was wearing when he punched Jesus........um.....ok? So he got me the picture showing when he "punched" Jesus. I asked him why he punched Jesus and he said, "Because me want to. Hey! We can take out the picture and Jesus can be the spy kid Dad when we play Spy Kids!" So there you go...Jesus gives piggy back rides, plays hide and go seek, and plays Spy Kids. How cool is that!Daddy was watching some military show and Butterball said, "I know what this is. It a bad show Daddy." Dad tried to tell him that it wasn't a bad show. Butterball said, "It is too! It has shooting. You not get any presents cuz Santa knows when you watch bad shows! So no presents." I love it. He will frequently make Dad change the channel if it is "inappobiate". What a good boy.

Appleseed Birthday Party

I decided to try and have a mandatory Sunday nap after church. After I woke up from my "nap" this is what I found. I had made an individual cake for Appleseed for his birthday. I know, I know....the white spots are un-stirred in bits of flour. Oops. We will try better next time. Sorry family. So I pretty much knew who it was but NOBODY was admitting it. So I took pictures of the criminals and took their statements.

This picture is a picture of a "lion who him snuck in the house and him ate the cake and then him hiding in those baskets right there." The "lying lion" did not have anything to say......This suspect opened her mouth to show proof that it was not her. Later she admitted to eating two crumbs off the plate but that the plate had already been uncovered. This one...................arghhhh................said it was the lion. Then he said that it was Daddy. And the previous suspect chimed in with that too. Now that I can believe....if it was the family cake. But I think Daddy would be smart enough to not dive into the individual cake as he would have died. This one came out eating something....but it was a toy bullet. Not a cake. I finally got it out.....well somewhat. "Maybe I was getting a drink of water and accidentally took a bite." Hmmmmm...it was from the same person that said it was the lion. We can all guess who that was! Sad to say it must run in the family. I licked the icing off my birthday cake when I was 8. :)He did not seem to be a fan of the cake but he had started to act like he may not feel well. Eating......I mean opening presents. We finally got a pretty good picture of him walking. So cute.I like to get pictures of the kids with each set of grandparents on their birthdays. So here are the grandparent pictures.

Random Craziness....

Here is what my poor Butterball looked like on day 2. Now it is all white back there. I barely get to see it. They told me to look every day...HA....they don't know my son. The last time he said, "OK but I won't lift my head, or open wider, or say Ah." Then how in the world am I supposed to see? Silly. He has had a hard time. I actually posted this on facebook but had made a mistake in the wording. I know he had the words killed and killing in there but in odd places and couldn't remember when I had posted it on fb. Remember later. He said, "I must be getting killing. Cuz when you hurt this bad you killed. So I must be getting killing." Poor thing. Today he yelled at me, "Stop saying you don't understand me." But it is so true. I can hardly understand him sometimes and I feel so bad. I hope it gets better as it heals. His voice is different and am wondering if it will stay that way as it is day 8 now. It is cute. It has been very very very hard. He screams and cries a TON. He told me today that he hates his mouth cuz it hurts him all the time. He hates taking his Lortab as he says it burns his mouth when he takes it. So that has been hard too. I feel so bad for him and boy I sure can't wait till he gets better.Poor Appleseed was following the other two sillies who were playing and got stuck. And of course his mean Mommy grabs the camera first before saving him.So this is how you play the Wii when you are tired....lazy....tired...who knows. And this is how you play when you had surgery and are miserable.Appleseed loves to play peek-a-boo now. I love it too as he usually covers his ears or something. He is so cute. Today in the bath he was playing with a bottle of shampoo and lost it when I had laid him down to wash his hair. When he sat up he seriously looked in front of him where it had last been and then stood up a little to look under his bum. It cracked me up that he thought he was sitting on it or something. Then I gave it to him and he gives me this huge smile. Then he went to go play peek-a-boo and quickly decided not too when the bottle started to float away again. It was hilarious. This was Butterbean's New Year's Resolutions. Soo cute. Translated it says: Learn to pop a wheelie. Blow balloons and learn to do a hand stand and blow.
Butterbean came home from school and I had been watching some kids. I had let one of them go in her room and get a toy. Oops. Won't make that mistake again. She quickly made this sign but it was funny that at the bottom she added the girl's name that I had let in there. She mostly didn't want her brother in but told me to not let kids in her room when she is no there again. Which of course I won't. This translated says: Do not come in less you are my friend like..... And then Butterball made a sign for his room too. His translated says, No girls allowed. They are so cute.

Butterball and his isms

Fell asleep while I was reading. He seriously claimed he did not know what was on his face for a good 10 minutes. I can't believe him. So funny! He cracks me up that he has that table in bed with him. Love it!"When I was up in Heaven, Heavenly Father helped put Appleseed on my lap so that I could hold him. Him nice."

He saw a picture of Jesus near the tomb and he said, "When him died I was in there taking care of him. I wanted him to come back to life." Later in the day I wanted to see if he would remember what he had said. So I asked him if he remembered what he had said about Jesus in the tomb. He said the exact same thing as before.

"When you was married me and Butterbean were up in Heaven and I tagged her. And we were playing with Jesus and we played ring a round the rosy with him. It was fun."

More isms

I love these pictures that my sister G took. Course I am not a fan of Butterball's hair so I may not like his pictures till it grows out. I can't wait!

Butterbean said, "My Grandma still wishes I was small and stinky. Cuz I used to be so stinky when I was a baby." And she was! She had horrible gas, turns out it was because she was also allergic to dairy. And then she said, "Grandma also made up that song about me, 'Peggy smells like monkey doo.' What is doo?" I told her it was another word for poop. She said, "That's disgusting! She used to sing, 'Peggy smells like monkey poop?' That is so gross." Love it.I have a video playlist on my computer of some songs I like to listen to when I am doing stuff. On it is Shakira's song Hips Don't Lie. My son, Butterball was sitting there watching some of my videos when that one came on. He said, "That one goss. Turn it off." I love my boy that thinks that woman showing any skin is gross. I hope he keeps that up.

I was down under the house working with the food storage and Butterball was watching me. He said, "Mom your bum." I didn't say anything as I was struggling in that small space and not sure exactly what he was talking about. Then he said, "That OK. My bum shows like that when I do that too." Oops! What a cutie.

Cookies with a little -isms on the side.

I had a temporary moment of insanity and brought out the cookie cutters my sister gave me and made sugar cookies with the kids. Oh my word what a mess! But the kids loved it.These are Butterbean's gross looking cookies. Too much frosting for me.And Butterball's cookies.Yuck!Ugh, I so wanted to just pop them in the tub but they were all dressed for bed.So here is a little of my kid's isms.

Butterbean had dropped a comb in the toilet as the lid was not closed. I told them, AGAIN, that we need to keep the lid closed, especially when Appleseed starts crawling around more. Butterbean said we just need to build a toilet outside so that we would not need to worry about Appleseed crawling in it or leaving the seat up. So I guess we will look into a little outhouse out back.

We were going to the zoo and I was upset as I had forgot my camera. She told me to quickly call Daddy and have him mail it to us at the zoo. Then she said, "Oh shoot! That won't work! Because the zoo does not have any mail boxes."

Butterbean said that she could not wait to become an adult. When I asked her why she said, "Because I am ready to get married to Appleseed.", her little brother. So cute.

Butterbean and Butterball were arguing about whether boys have breasts or not. Butterbean kept telling him that boys don't get them because they don't need to feed the babies. Butterball kept insisting that he was going to get them and that his Dad had them. He started yelling, "Don't touch my 'best' when I get older." It was so funny. So today while we were in a store he saw a picture of Christ when he was resurrected and excitedly said, "Look Mommy! Jesus 'best'!" Cracked me up.

For Butterbean's prayer tonight she said, "And bless us so that we will gain the wisdom to get the strength to not get lost again." I said a loud AMEN to that!

Another PG-13 post?

I was nursing my baby when Butterball was patting me asking why I had two of those. I told him that that is they way Heavenly Father made me. He said, "Well I don't yike that. I am going to talk to Him about that and have him give you just one." Butterbean heard and said, "Well, if you had two babies... (She is holding her arms out like she is holding two babies.) and you need to feed them. One would be nursing and then the other would have to nurse the other's head! (Still using her arms as if she has babies in them to help explain this to us.) So that is why you have to have two." So there you go. I bet you ladies were all wondering why you had two of those things.

YUUMMMM

A family friend brought us some produce today, yum! I gave Appleseed some raspberries that he went to town on.Butterball told me this today. "A stranger came in my room last night. And the problem was he didn't steal me." I had to interrupt that that wasn't a problem but a good thing. "Then him offer me candy but I said, 'No thank you.' cuz I don't like that kind, It was chocolate with black stuff on it." His sister tried convincing him it was a dream but he insisted it was real. Hmmmm, wonder if that was the day i left the front door wide open till Bubba found it at 2 AM. Opps.

Butterbean told me how one time she had snuck into the candy corns and sat under the secretary to eat them. Told her how sad it was she snuck into them. Butterball chimed in wanting to know where they were. I told him that we don't have any anymore. He then said, "Jesus does. Him have lots of candy corn cuz Santa gave it to him!" Now imagine that.

What?!?

Butterball was standing next to me. I turned and asked him what he was eating. He very truthfully and with a big smile said, "Boogers."

Butterbean was talking to me about having another baby. I told her that her Dad didn't want anymore children. She said, "Well, how about we not tell him and secretly do it. And then we will just have a new baby girl and then say 'Surprise!' Doesn't that sound like fun? I was rolling on the floor laughing, at least in my mind.

Butterball was reading the scriptures for Family Home Evening. It went something like this, "Him had a monster and him had an eye. And then he killed that monster. And the monster then came out of the room. And that's it." Now I don't recall that in the scriptures.

Stuff

This is how Butterball talks to Appleseed. Always on top of him and giving him big squishy hugs.I try to get a picture of my kids with each of their grandparents around their birthday. Sometimes they are a little silly but I love them. So here is one set of grandparent photos.Butterball was outside trying to find me. I noticed he was ready for church wearing his flip flops and carrying his "cutter" so I had to take a picture. He is crying because he started running towards me yelling "No". He hates his picture taken most of the time.
This is a dress my sister made for my daughter for her last birthday. Today was the first time we got to wear it because it has akways been too big. And it is still a little big. And no my sister won't make you one. She said it was too hard and you could not pay her enough. Yeah, we have an original!

The other day we were heading somewhere that had underground parking. Butterbean told me to stay close to her as she is afraid of them Butterball told her, "Heavenly Father knows we are here. So don't worry. I am here to protect you. See I have power in my fingers to protect you. See Heavenly Father gave me his power in my fingers." It was so cute and he said it with such strong feeling.

Zoo Trip

I am glad I bought the Zoo membership this year. Last year we did not use it much but I think we will use it more this year. I hope. We decided to go today and it took us forever to get out of the house. Then of course I wanted a salad and was not smart enough to make one from home. I think I really just wanted the dressing from Harmon's. So I went and got a salad and some fruit. Then we went to the library where Butterbean got her first library card. She was so excited. She checked out a ton of books today. Then we went to my husband's office so he could put a valve stem in one of the tires on the stroller. He put it in and blew it up and next we know it had blown up! So I then had to go buy some new tubes for the tires and went back to his office to have him put them in. Nuts! By then it was so late in the day I just gave my kids their sandwiches and I took my salad home and picked myself something I could eat in the car too. So finally we are on our way at 2:30. We had a good time and I didn't lose anyone. Sort of. I did momentarily misplace them at the dumb park. I hate that place! It is too hard to keep track of them both with all those kids around. And Butterbean asked from the very beginning to go there. Told her we had to see some animals first. Butterball hated that I had a one seat stroller so he had to walk a lot. But then he just sat on the end of the stroller to ride. Lazy cutie!

Our pre zoo security photo in case anyone gets lost then I have a picture of what they look like. Actually had to use it last time. Yikes. On the carousel.Appleseed kept trying to lick the pole. This is how Butterball looked to go to the store the other day. Notice the gun sticking out of his boot. The kids trying out their sister's dress-up wig. So funny.
